What Is Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi, which is short for Wireless Fidelity, is a technology that allows mobile devices such as laptops and PDAs to connect to a network or the Internet via radio waves.
At Parade it offers an informal and comfortable environment for holding business meetings where fast Internet connection is needed.

What are the speeds like?

Wi-Fi can move data at speeds of between 11-54Mbps, so a Wi-Fi-connected laptop or PDA will be quick. There are task forces looking into new standards that are aiming to reach speeds of up to 540Mbps.

What devices can use Wi-Fi?

Currently, laptops, PDAs and PCs equipped with a wireless adapter can use Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi-enabled mobile phones are starting to come to market, such as the Nokia Communicator range.
